The “Video Rock Paper Scissors” incident refers to a viral video leaked on Twitter (now known as X) showing a man and a woman playing a game of rock-paper-scissors for the chance to interact with a topless woman wearing a yellow skirt standing between them. When the woman loses a round, the man takes off his pants and moves toward the topless woman. This video is a clear parody of the TikTok Food Challenge, where people play rock-paper-scissors to win bites of food instead of engaging in inappropriate acts. After the video was posted on X in June 2024, memes and reactions to the surprising content quickly went viral.
On June 7, 2024, X user @Philsmosoti uploaded a video featuring two women and a man playing rock-paper-scissors. The topless woman in a yellow skirt stands between them, and when the other woman loses a round, the man takes off his pants and approaches the topless woman. The caption for the video read, “Nani anataka tuchezee hii?,” which translates to “Who wants to play this game with us?” The post garnered over 12.6 million views and 137,000 likes within a day (a censored screenshot is shown below). This post is currently the earliest known upload of the video.
